Ann M. (Gogola) Anderson, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2016 in North Carolina surrounded by her loving children. Born in Munnerstadt, Germany on December 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the Walter and Stephania (Gogola) Pyda. Ann came to the United States when she was five years old from Poland, a graduate of Trott Vocational and Kelley's School for business and was a member of the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
She worked as a teller for the former Marine Midland bank (power city branch) for over 20years, until her retirement. Ann loved going on vacation (mostly to Walt Disney), gardening, drawing and she was an all-around joy. She touched the lives of everyone she met and just lit up the room.
She is survived by her children, Michelle (Ted) D'Antonoli and Michael (Carmen Delarosa) Kotalik, Jacob Kotalik, Alyson (Joshua) Elmore, Kaitlyn and Anthony D'Antonoli; five step-grandchildren; step-children, Jon Anderson, Liz (Dennis) McEwen and Tim (Rebecca) Anderson; sister, Stella (Charley) Rimmer; and brother, Steve Pyda. Also survived by two nieces, two nephews and nine great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick G. Anderson; and brother, John Pyda.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 30th from 1-4 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 3:30 PM with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Private burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Arthritis Foundation Upstate NY Chapter, 3300 Monroe Avenue Suite 319, Rochester, NY 14618, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or any Hospice organization of one's choice.
