Anita Joan's Story
Anita Joan (nee Hastings) Sanger, 79, died Tuesday, June 6th. She was the loving wife and helpmate of Glenn Sanger of Youngstown.
Born and raised in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late Herbert and Alma Hastings, 'Joan' was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls. She worked as a secretary at Spaulding Fiber in Tonawanda and was an avid gardener. Having fun with family and friends was her favorite pastime.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Robert Moore of Niagara Falls. She was the beloved sister of Linda Hastings Dickin, Donald Hastings and the late Robert and Herb Hastings. She loved her family which includes 15 nieces and nephews, seven step-children and many grandchildren. Her long time friends were a great joy to her.
There was no prior visitation. The White Chapel Memorial Park in Amherst has been entrusted with arrangements for a memorial service to be announced. Interment will be at the White Chapel cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Western New York.
