Winona C Stonebraker, 83, of North Tonawanda, has passed away on December 28, 2017, suddenly after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late James Stonebraker; mother of Craig, Debra (Doug) Smith and former daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hunt; grandmother of Sara (Robert) Jachimiak, and Kenneth G. Till; great-grandmother of Evan, Marley, and Brendan; sister of the late Marjorie Stowell, many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stonebraker was a retired Guidance Counselor at North Tonawanda High School of over 30 years and had been active with many Methodist church events and the United Methodist Women. She had also been very involved with the American Field Service Intercultural Exchange Programs.
Her body was donated to the SUNY at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6th, at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church, 65 Main Street, North Tonawanda.
Flowers graciously declined. Memorials may be made in Winona's name to First United Methodist Church or to Beechwood Living Care Fund, The Beechwood/Blocher Foundation, 2235 Millersport Highway, Getzville, NY 14068.
