William W. Schildhauer, age 89 of the Town of Niagara, was called to his heavenly home on June 23, 2017, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in West Allis, Wisconsin, son of the late Walter and Erna (Meister) Schildhauer. Bill moved to Western New York in 1932, served in the U.S. Army, and was employed as a program planner at Bell Aerospace, retiring in 1988. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Gladys (Haseley) Schildhauer, on August 22, 2007, and a sister, Ellen (Gerald) Kanouff.
Survivors include five children, Gary (Louise), Robert (Denise), Donald (Peggy) Schildhauer, Joyce (Ed) Harris, and Wendy (Kenneth) Pendergast; a sister, Janette (Clarence) Lemley; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Mark Perkins, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, or Niagara Hospice.
