Vaden B. Coffey, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 after a 17 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 71. He was born in Niagara Falls on October 24, 1946, a son of the late Voit and Hazel (Sutton) Coffey. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School on Pine Avenue. Vaden worked at Occidental Chemical for 27 years, retiring as a Chemical Process Operator.
Mr. Coffey was a former member (and hunter safety course instructor) of the LaSalle Sportsman Club. His true passion was hunting and fishing and his greatest joy was his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lorraine (Nevison) Coffey; and three children, Vaden (Melissa Tierney) Coffey, Jennifer (Dee) Langenfeld and Ruben Coffey. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Bradley, Peyton, Emma, Avery and Jolene; three siblings, Dennis (Donna) Coffey, Terry Coffey and Beth (Tom) Bullock; and Father-in-Law, Roger (late Shirley) Nevison; and several nieces and nephews.
The Coffey family would like to thank Dr. Sonjoy Singh for his wonderful compassion and commitment to Vaden's care.
Friends may call the LANE FUNERAL HOME, 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Sunday from 1-5 PM where funeral services will be held at 5 PM. Burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
