Tracy Carter was born on January 20, 1953 to the late Lemor and Ida (Williams) Carter in Troy, AL. He departed this life on July 15, 2017. After graduating from high school in 1971, Tracy briefly attended Troy State University before entering the US Army.
Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Tracy settled in Niagara Falls, NY. He was employed at DuPont Chemical Corporation retiring after more than 20 years of service.
He is survived by his loving children, Terrence, Tracy and Leigh-ann Carter; grandchildren, Terrence, Akira, Haley, Zykyiah, Emily, Kemiah, Adison and Kyrie; siblings, James, Lee (Eugene) Whitaker, Willie C. (Minnie) Carter, Emmit (late Annie Mae) Carter, Ida (late Jimmie) Seright, Carolyn Carter Smith, Patricia (James) Sparks, Vincent Carter and Derrick (Ruby) Carter; sisters-in-law, Jewel Carter and Denise Carter; aunt, Leola (late Dink) Carter; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Tracy is also survived by special friends, Michele Pryor; mother of Tracy, Leigh-ann and the late Stacy Carter and Commie Carter; mother of Terrence and the late Jared Carter. In addition to children, Jared and Stacy, he was predeceased by siblings, Curtis, Lemor, Jr., Ida Berneice, Jerry and Gene (Pee Wee) Carter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 2002 Forest Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301. ARRANGEMENTS by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
