Thomas E. Mason of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was 89. He was born in Niagara Falls on August 21, 1928, a son of the late George and Anna (Bailey) Mason.
He attended local schools and then began his career at Hooker (Occidental) Chemical, retiring as a pipefitter in 1989 after 41 years of service. Mr. Mason married Beverly (Brown) Mason in 1948 and they remained happily married for 59 years until her passing in 2007. He was a longtime member of Bacon Memorial Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles and he enjoyed gardening and travelling.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Eady of Niagara Falls; two grandchildren, Yvonne (Michael) Ridley and Dawn Eady; four great-grandchildren, Stephanie Kneeppel, Thomas, Dakota and Dustin Eady, and two great-great-grandchildren, Kailani and Hunter. Tom is also survived by his companion, Marsha Kennedy and several siblings. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Bonnie (late John) Giuntini.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Saturday from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held at 8 PM. Burial will be private in Acacia Park Cemetery in Pendleton.
