Thomas T. Fisher, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 19, 2017. He was born in East Kilbride, Scotland, and came to America in November of 1926. He was the son of the late Peter and Marion 'Minnie' (Hastings) Fisher, and beloved husband of Marjorie (Horne) Fisher.
He proudly served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II on the ship SS Rogue River. Tom was awarded the Merchant Marine Combat Bar, the Victory Medal, the Atlantic War Zone Bar, the Pacific War Zone Bar, and the Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Bar.
Tom's favorite sport was pheasant, deer, and moose hunting. He was dedicated to breeding and raising Springer Spaniels. He was also a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills.
Tom is survived by his son, Thomas M. (Marian) Fisher of Niagara Falls, NY; grandsons, Thomas J. Fisher, Niagara Falls, NY and Peter (Kristine) Fisher, Hamburg, NY; great-grandsons, Andrew and Christopher Fisher; sister, Marion (Frank) Campbell. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Horne) Fisher; and grandson, Charles Marc Fisher.
The family of Thomas Fisher wishes to thank the Niagara Hospice Pathways Palliative Care Program for the kindness and support shown to us during this difficult time, as well as his compassionate and caring home aides.
There will be no prior visitation. A private prayer service will be held at the convenience of the family.
