Teresa 'Terry''s Story
Teresa 'Terry' Kuca passed away on September 1, 2017 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Niagara Falls on September 23, 1959, the daughter of Genevieve (Szostak) Kuca and the late John Kuca.
Terry was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School and received her Masters Degree in Business Communications from the University of Buffalo. She was a former employee of the Niagara Falls Convention Bureau. She then worked as the Assistant General Manager at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center for 25 years. An avid skier, Terry, along with her sister, Bernie and friend, Annie, formed "Team Woop Woop". The ski team raised over $100,000 for CanDo MS, a national non-profit that helps people manage their MS. She enjoyed spending time at her family's cottage in Long Beach and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, Sabres and New York Yankees.
In addition to her mother, Genevieve, Terry is survived by her husband, Peter Trendle, of Wheatfield, whom she married on April 1, 1989. She is survived by her sisters, Rosemary Kuca and her husband, Kevin Hagerty of Buffalo and Bernice Kuca of Natick, MA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, corner of Niagara and 24th Streets with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. Flowers are gratefully declined.
