Steven D.'s Story
Steven Douglas Pyska, 41 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on October 27, 2017 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Lewiston, NY he is the son of Patrick and Luann (Hoffman) Pyska of Niagara Falls, NY.
Steven attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1996 until his honorable discharge in 2016. During his 20 year career, he proudly served with the Naval Construction Battalions better known as the Seabees, as a construction electrician and inspector, and was awarded numerous achievement medals throughout his career. Steven had a love for fixing things and home improvement projects. He also enjoyed collecting die cast model cars, but his greatest pleasure came from spending time with his daughters.
In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his wife, Tay (Allen) Pyska, two daughters, Malaya and Alyssa Pyska, one brother John Pyska, one sister, Patty (Patrick) Pilon, several cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, one great-niece and cousins, as well as his faithful dog, Maddie.
Visitation will be on Monday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 31st at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church 736 Cayuga Dr. Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment with Military Honors, will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
