Dear Karen, Jim and Maureen,
We are so very sorry to hear about Aunt Stella's passing. She was always so sweet. I remember her and my Dad would always write letters to each other to keep each other up to date on things going on in the family. She even sent me a couple of recipes of her Mom's for kapusta and Polish sausage, which I really appreciated! We also appreciated that your Mom and Dad made the trip back here for both Ashleigh and Andrew's Weddings, it was great seeing them and them had a great time! May God Bless you all with His peace and comfort you in the loss of your precious Mom. We love you all, Diane

To Karen, Jimmy and Maureen:

I am very saddened by the passing of your mother and my dear sister Stella.

She was always there for me and was also an inspiration in my life. She wrote to me when I was in the Army and for example, she and brother-in law Ed taught me to drive and also to get my licence, which I very much appreciated, since my parents did not own a car.

I also liked her command of the Polish language and we would spend hours speaking in Polish about the old neighborhood, about our parochial school education and and reciting the prayers that were handed down to her verbally from our mother, which she then meticulously wrote down for me.

She and Ed also attended my commencem
...ent ceremony at RIT when I graduated in 1959, and also brought my mother with them to Rochester, NY., which I also very much appreciated, since my mother was proud of our accomplishments but almost never left her home in Niagara Falls.

What I most admired about Stella (and Ed) was their sense of commitment to doing the right thing especially where family was concerned. Stella and Ed really loved and supported her family as well as everyone in their extended family. (Everyone was always welcome at their cabin in Boone.)

Stella and Ed's commitment to care for my mother in her old age (in their home) was exceptional and a fine example of their dedication, and will always be remembered and appreciated by myself and our family.

God Bless you and be with you Stella, we love you.
You will be sorely missed.
