Samuel L. Klinger, longtime area resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at home with his family. He was 70. He was born in Franklin, PA on November 1, 1947, a son of the late Conrad S. and Hazel M. (Cornell) Klinger.
He attended schools in Pennsylvania and then served in the United States Army from 1967-1970. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1971 and worked as a chemical operator at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, retiring in 2002.
Mr. Klinger is survived by six children, Kortney (Paul) Fry of Harrisburg, PA, Sandra (Anthony) Silvaggi of Youngstown, NY, Jason Klinger, Samuel L. (Sarah) Klinger II of Niagara Falls, Phillip (Kymber) Klinger of North Tonawanda and Timothy (Mandi) Klinger of Cheektowaga. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Mark Schrack, Matthew, Amanda and Lucas Kerbis, Kieran and Kari Klinger, Patrick and Samuel Klinger III, Eloise Klinger; and two siblings, Linda Klinger and Herbert (Alexandra) Klinger of Franklin, PA.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls on Sunday from 1-4 PM. Private Services and burial will be held in Pennsylvania. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Klinger's name to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
