Robert W. Salchow, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. Bobby was born on December 28, 1944 in Niagara Falls, the only son of George and Betty (Lane) Salchow.
Sadly, Bobby was injured during birth and was permanently disabled. He was never able to go to school or work. But he was a happy child, young adult and man. To him, his family and friends, he was just like everyone else, he never let his disability slow him down. He loved being with his family, enjoying special occasions, holiday's and the life as he knew to be normal. He also enjoyed the softness of classical music.
He is survived by his loving sister, Peggy (Larry) Whitenight; his adoring nieces and nephews, Michelle (Mark) Dixon, Stephen (Connie) Jackson, Robert Jackson, David Whitenight, David Whitenight, Brian (Debbie) Whitenight; many great-nieces, nephews and friends.
Private funeral services were held yesterday in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., with the burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
