Richard G. 'Dick' Lingenfelter, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2016 after a brief illness. He was 85. He was born in Niagara Falls on February 21, 1931, a son of the late Starn and Maude (Dickey) Lingenfelter.
He attended local school and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School. Dick served in the United States Navy and then began his career as a fabricator at Carborundum.
Mr. Lingenfelter is survived by his daughter, Darlene (Richard) Wall; two grandchildren, Tonja (Mike) Keller and Albert Smith IV; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Merle, Boyd (Auga) and Lester (Mary) Lingenfelter. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings, Liz, Fanny, Jenning and Bart.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 2 PM at Niagara Presbyterian Church, 3712 Military Road, Niagara Falls.
