Paul A. Hoyt, 69, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 1, 2018.
Paul is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Army Commendation medal with 'V' Device for heroism, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Once discharged from active duty, he began his employment at General Motors, where he retired from after 30 years.
He had a great sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes on everyone. Paul enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events, dance recitals, and all of their other activities. He was a self-taught jack-of-all-trades.
Paul is survived by his wife, Loretta (Piasecki), of 47 years; and four children, Janene Hoyt, Amy (John) Miller, Brian (Amanda) Hoyt, and Paul (Kelly) Hoyt; as well as ten grandchildren, Jordan, Jenna, Brent, Saxton, Gage, Ivy, Katie, Bailey, Jaedyn and Jaxon. He was also an uncle to several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Addison and Viola Hoyt; and his sister, Patricia (Pete) Ozzimo.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 4th from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, New York 14303, where funeral services with military honors will begin at 7:30 PM with Father John Posiewala officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
