Paul earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Niagara University and worked for Kodak in Rochester, NY, before changing careers to teach science in the Niagara Falls public school system for 20 years.
He devoted his life to local history as evidenced by the 12 books he authored on the history of Niagara Falls, a subject of which he was most passionate that led to his involvement in preserving the natural beauty of the parks throughout the Falls area. For years, Paul was dedicated toward the creation of a Niagara Experience Center to depict the prior history of the Falls. Mayor Dyster worked closely with Paul on that project as well as the Underground Railroad Museum and Interpretive Center. As a result, Paul was honored in a ceremony in the state park in July 2015 to commemorate his life's work. Along with the proclamation from the city, county and state, a plaque was unveiled celebrating his accomplishments as an author and activist. In addition to his books, for years Paul wrote a regular newspaper column that appeared in the Buffalo News, the Niagara Gazette and the Niagara Falls Reporter.
He was also predeceased by brothers, John Gromosiak and George (John) Gromosiak. Paul is survived by his brother, Michael R. (Mary) Gromosiak of Bellbrook, OH; nephews, Michael A. Gromosiak of N.
