Nicole Lynn Boyer, longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC. She was 40. Nicole was born in Niagara Falls on December 9, 1977, a daughter of the late Richard and Marlene (Trent) Boyer.
She attended local schools and graduated from La Salle High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from D'Youville College and her Master's Degree from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. Nicole moved to Gastonia, NC in 2000 to teach Kindergarten and was currently a second grade teacher at Cherryville Elementary School.
She is survived by her special cousin and caregiver, Sarah (Bob) Cardamone of Niagara Falls; her brother, Ricky Boyer of Niagara Falls; her aunt, Denise (Bobby) Boyer; two nephews, Daniel Boyer of Gastonia and Andrew Boyer of Niagara Falls; three nieces, Whitney Boyer, Emily Peppard and Gracie Cardamone; her great-niece, Eva Boyer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Nicole is also survived by her six fur babies, Maddie, Briley, Owen, Bella, Lola and Powder; and her special friends at Cherryville Elementary School who were like her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Boyer.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cherryville Elementary School for the outpouring of love and support they have shown to Nicole.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Saturday from 3-7 PM. Burial will be private.
