Nancy E. Long, 82, of Lewiston, died on Friday October 27, 2017. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 30, 1934 to the late Harry C and M. Fredericka (Potts) Long. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Lewiston and was a 1953 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School, she was employed was a lab assistant for Alox Inc. in Niagara Falls for 29 years retiring in 1997.
Nancy was a lifelong member of St. Peters R.C Church in Lewiston. She was a member of the Bells Ski Club, Grand Island and the Niagara Falls Camera Club. She was a volunteer at Art Park for over 20 years and was involved with the Lewiston- Porter Alumni Committee. She also enjoyed the Lewiston Senior Center and traveling in both Europe and the U.S, and her many pet cats. Nancy loved hosting gatherings on her porch after the Art Park shows.
Nancy is survived by her brother, Harry (late Nancy) Long; her niece and nephews, John (Sue) Long Jr., Joanie (Ken) Kumeiga, James, Amy, Jessica and Daniel Long and Nancy (Sergio) Cruz.
She is predeceased by her brother John Long Sr.
Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth and Ridge Streets on Sunday from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peters R.C Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston. (Please assemble at the church) on Monday, October 30, at 10 AM, with Msgr. David LiPuma officiating. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
