Myles Patrick Blest Sr., 73, of Newnan, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017, at his residence. He was born in Buffalo, NY on October 6, 1944, to the late Myles Blest and Jane (Flynn) Blest.
Myles attended local schools and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Buffalo State College. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Myles was employed at the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a Teacher/TSA for 33 years until his retirement in 2004.
Myles was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed playing softball and was also a avid New York Yankees Fan.
Myles is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; as well as his children, Myles (Michele) Blest, Jr., Kellie (Chris) Templeman, Randall (Valerie) Burns; grandchildren, Mckenna Blest, Marienn Blest, Myles Blest III, Ripley Templeman, Liam Templeman; brothers, Michael (Judy) Blest and Timothy (Debbie) Blest; sister, Kathleen (Larry) Schmitt; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Tasula) Macri, Michael (Valerie) Macri; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A gathering for family, friends, and co-workers to share stories and remembrances will be held on December 9th, at 10 AM at the LaSalle Preparatory School Auditorium, 7436 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
