Mildred Johanna Limburg, of Niagara Falls, passed from this earthly life peacefully surrounded by her family in DeGraff Memorial Hospital on Friday August 25, 2017. She was born in Akron, OH on June 30, 1928, a daughter of the late Frank Wesley and Mildred Irene (Schregele) Long.
Mildred was employed as a Home Health Care Aide with Elder Care and at Wrobel Towers. She always loved the water and swimming. She enjoyed dancing and all music including songs by Glenn Campbell, Tony Bennett and Josh Groban. She had a keen sense of humor was a Classy, kind and loving Lady and enjoyed shopping for clothes and purses.
Mildred was an awesome cook and love to make Thanksgiving dinner for her family and enjoyed snacking on Lay's Potato Chips. She was also an avid collector of cookbooks.
Survivors include her children, Cynthia (David) Koester of Niagara Falls, Frank Nowak and Jamie Nowak, both of the Town of Niagara; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, William Bosley and Stanley Nowak; sisters, Ethel Limburg and Alice Wiatr; and brother, Frank Long.
Family will be present Tuesday from 3-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 8622 Buffalo Ave., where evening services will be held at 7 PM immediately following the visitation.
