Mary's Story

Mary Elizabeth (Francis) Peasley, longtime area resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was 101. She was born in Avoca, New York on November 22, 1915, a daughter of the late William and Kate (Shaut) Francis.
She worked as a waitress and janitress. She also worked as property manager of the River Road Trailer Park. Mrs. Peasley was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and she enjoyed ballroom and square dancing.
She is survived by her daughter Roberta Brown of Youngstown; seven grandchildren, Herbie (Carolyn) Clark, Jeff (Kathy) Clark, Maureen (Jim) Kwiatkowski, Kurt (Sheryll) Brown, Matt Brown, Becky (Jeff) Miller and Stacey (Frank) Brown Buccella. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren (and a sixth on the way); her son-in-law, Lee Clark; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert M. Peasley (1990); her daughter, Patricia Clark; and four siblings, Ada, Clarence, Ruth and Genevieve.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Wednesday after 6 PM where funeral services will be held after at 7 PM. Burial will be private in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
