Maria 'Josephine''s Story
Maria 'Josephine' McKean, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2017. Born August 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Luigi and Esterina (Anible) Intini in Hamilton, Ontario.
A 60-year resident of Niagara Falls, Josephine worked at Ambassador Leather, the Kitchen Restaurant and was an Avon Lady for 45 years. A selfless giver, her life exemplified James 1:27.
Josephine is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bernard R. McKean; sons, John (Annette) Zaroian, Daniel McKean and Matthew McKean; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by a special niece, Esther Isherwood; and dearest friend, Denise Suja. She was also predeceased by brothers, Santo (Audrey) Intini, Giovanni (Olga) Intini, Gabriel (Argia) Intini, Fidelis Intini; and a sister, Teresina (Jack) Potter, all from Ontario, Canada.
Mrs. McKean's family would like to thank the entire staff of Schoellkopf Health Care Center for the sincere care and love Maria received during her time there.
There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 27th at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Flowers are graciously declined. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
