Marguerite (Benson) Waggoner, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2018. She was 98. She was born in Niagara Falls on November 23, 1919, a daughter of the late Albert C. and Ginia (Planecki) Benson.
She attended local schools and then worked at the Dan Conte Cataract Vending Company and Gabriel's Restaurant before retiring to raise her family. Mrs. Waggoner was a longtime member of the Community of Christ Church where she enjoyed working the church dinners and functions. She also enjoyed shopping and was a member of the garden club but her greatest joy was her time with her family through family gatherings and 'get-togethers.' She most loved her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to their visits.
Mrs. Waggoner is survived by four children, Sandra (Robert) Monti, Sharon (Robert) Rapp, Kathryn Steele and Kenneth (Deborah) Waggoner; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be no prior visitation and burial will be private in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston.
Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Waggoner's name to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
