Madeline's Story

Madeline 'Mittens' Mitulinsky, 66, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Monday April 10, 2017 at home under the care of Niagara Hospice after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 24, 1950 and was a lifelong resident of this area. She was the daughter of the late William and Madge (Bilobran) Mitulinsky.
Madeline attended local schools and went on to earn an associate's degree in Nursing from Niagara Community College with an RN degree. She began working at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where she was lovingly called 'Mittens.' She was known as a sweet, caring, dedicated nurse, and on May 5, 1995 'Mittens' received an "Excellence in Practice and Commitment" award for her ongoing contributions, dedication, and commitment to professional nursing practice. After 41 years of service at Niagara Falls Memorial, 'Mittens' retired in January of 2013.
She is survived by her aunt, Anne Sekula; her sister, Sandra Mitulinsky; niece, Stephanie Mitulinsky; cousins, David and Steven Bilobran. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear dog, 'Ollie,'who was her friend and companion for many years.
Friends may call on Friday, April 14th from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where a Panachyda service will be held at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, April 17th at 10 AM at Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God Church, 2715 Ferry Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Father Raymond Palko officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial Following in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
