Linda (Starkweather) Rivers Linda L. (Starkweather) Rivers, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018. She was 68. She was born in Barker, New York, on July 21, 1950, a daughter of the late Alvis and Hazel (Galligan) Starkweather.
She graduated from Barker Central School and then moved to Lockport and then to Niagara Falls.
Linda was a homemaker who loved cooking and baking but her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, Russell Shull, Crystal (Dan Gravelle) Shull, Adrienne Maida, Frank (Amy Martinucci) Maida and Michelle Rivers; six grandchildren, Krystal and Brandon Jackson, Ayden, Ashtyn and Andrew Maida and Mark Donahue. Linda is also survived by her boyfriend, Chuck Barker (Krystal and Isela); her five sisters, Marykay Greene, Rose McClanahan, Ronna Simmons, Pam Mullins and Sally Cummings; her dear friend of 45 years, Cheryl (late Jim) Gatto; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Rivers; and six brothers.
Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue on Friday from 4-8 PM with funeral services being held at 7:30 PM. Burial will be private.

Dear Rivers family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my warm and sincere condolences. Linda will be missed. She remains in the loving memories of her family and friends. Please know God is there to comfort you through this difficult time. He can save those crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 God promises to bring back to life loved ones we’ve lost including Linda. This promise can be found in the Bible at John 5:28,29
