Kathleen Moyer, 71, of Niagara Falls passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018, surrounded by her family after suffering from complications of cancer at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1947 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Hubert and Nettie (Walton) Collins and was the oldest of two children.
Kathleen recently retired from the New York Power Authority after 30 years of service. She won an award for being Employee of the Quarter and was honored at the Niagara Falls Convention Center among other professionals. She was always the first person to offer her assistance to anyone that asked for her help. She truly loved her job and was very sad when she had to retire due to her illness.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Thomas Moyer; daughter, Dawn (Christian) Caccamise; granddaughter, Isabella; sister, Deborah (Paul) Caneen; brother-in-law, Larry (Diane) Moyer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Kathleen's request her body was donated to the University of Buffalo to fulfill her wish to help cancer research. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roswell Park or the American Cancer Society.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put other's needs before her own. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
