Judith L. Walerowicz, 76, of Niagara Falls, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at home. She was born in Edwardville, PA on November 16, 1940, a daughter of Gerald E. and Eleanor (Oplinger) Finnerty Akers. Her family moved to Niagara Falls when she was an infant. She attended local schools including the former LaSalle Jr./Sr. High School and Trott Vocational High School. Following graduation she attended Roberts Beauty School.
Mrs. Walerowicz was a beautician and also worked as a clerk for the former Millers Drug Store. An active woman, she volunteered for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and loved bowling. She was given a gift from God, along with someone special, a trip to Israel. She loved her family for loving her and being there for her. What she loved doing the most, was helping others, whenever she could. That meant more to her, to be of help to others. She grew up attending Prince of Peace Church. Later in life, she attended Walnut Avenue Christian Church and the Assembly of God.
She is survived by daughters, Jacqueline M. (Malaney), Dick (Mike Lauzau), Debra A. Cannizzara (Felix Suppartts); six grandchildren, Gregory W. Dick, Kevin J. Dick, Lindsey R, Stephanie K (John), Angeline J and Andrea Cannizzara; great-grandchildren, Michael Dick, Elijah Sullivan, Aiden and Tyler Danielewicz; her cousin and dear friend, Eloise (Seymour) Hamilton (Tom), and their children, Lisa Hamilton and Sheri Warren (Charles); several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia A. Finnerty; and her step-father, Roy K. Akers.
The family will be present on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 PM with the Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
