Joyce (Shearer) Deubler, 81, of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, under the care of Niagara Hospice following a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls on February 27, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Kuhn) Shearer.
She was a graduate of the former LaSalle Jr/Sr High School. Mrs. Deubler worked as a sales associate for Rite Aid after raising her children. She retired at the age of 73. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, her cats and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Lawrence Deubler; four children, Lynn (Deubler) Vallina, Lawrence (Lisa) Deubler, James S. Deubler and Jill Leo; sisters, Yolanda 'Lonnie' (Pat) Pugliese and Katie (Richard) Leighton; six grandchildren, Tyler and Alex Leo; Jesse Fox; Maria Vallina; Sean Michael Deubler and Taylor Deubler; a great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Pryor; several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held on Monday, in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC. The interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Niagara County SPCA.
