Joseph J. Skrzypek

Joseph J. Skrzypek Joseph John Skrzypek, 75 years old, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Niagara Falls on October 8, 1942, the son of the late Joseph and Stella (Bialic) Skrzypek.

Joe attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and was a 1959 graduate of Bishop Duffy High School. On September 15, 1960 he joined the United States Navy. Joe retired from the Navy as Master Chief after a 30 year career during which time he saw the world. He was awarded numerous commendations. He was also the owner and publisher of the Mountain View Times in California. Joe was a member and Past Commander of the VFW Post 917 and was a member of the American Legion Portage Post #1465. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed playing cards.

Joe is survived by his sons, David (Heidi) Skrzypek and Joseph Skrzypek; his brother, James (Betty) Skrzypek; his sister-in-law, Anita Skrzypek and his dear friend, Leah Stevens. He was predeceased by his brother, John Skrzypek.

Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
