Joseph A.'s Story
Joseph A. Pizzimenti, 91, of Frisco Texas, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed peacefully in his sleep at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Grace (Marra) Pizzimenti.
Joe served in the US Army 101 Airborne Division as a member of the military police achieving a rank of corporal. He was honorably discharged in 1952.
Joe worked as a machinist for 42 years at Moore Business Forms and as the mail office manager at Key Bank.
He was a kind, friendly, hard working, humorous, quick witted, extremely devoted husband and father. Joe was a Red Cross 10 Gallon Blood Donor. He was a regular six-day-a-week active member of the Plano and Frisco YMCA and was the winner of several 5k running events into his 80's.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene (Cieslak) Pizzimenti; daughter, Dr. Karen V. Pizzimenti; son, Joseph W. Pizzimenti; sisters, Gloria McNitt and Grace Owczarzak; nephews, David Pizzimenti, Lawrence Owczarzak and Christopher Owczarzak; and niece, Rebecca Owczarzak. Joe is predeceased by his sisters, Mary Pizzimenti, Catherine Pizzimenti; and brother, Anthony Pizzimenti.
