John D. Ginter


John D. Ginter, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2019 in Niagara Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was born September 12, 1927 in Hazleton, PA, the son of John D. and Florence (Kean) Ginter.
He served his country with great pride in the United States Army Signal Corps Division and was stationed in Japan. Following his honorable discharge, he began working for Pyron Corp. He retired in 1992 as a payload operator. His passions in life were gardening and his family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Jeanette (Mclarney) Ginter, in August of 2017.
Survivors include three children, Sheri (Donald) Wilkinson of the Town of Niagara, Barry and Scott Ginter both of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Nathan and Jonathan Wilkinson, both of the Town of Niagara, and Kyle Wilkinson of Geneva, Switzerland; a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present Thursday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where Funeral Services will be held Friday 11 AM. The interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
