Jessie B.'s Story
Jessie Blanche (Zeleznik) Amato of Orlando, FL, formerly of Niagara Falls and Lewiston, has passed away peacefully on December 29, 2017. She was born in Breezy Hill, KS, daughter of John Zeleznik and Ida Blanche Wade.
Raised in Nanticoke, PA, her family moved to Niagara Falls where she met Albert 'Al' Amato. Married in 1943, they had 50 years of happiness together. On Easter Sunday, 2000, Jessie completed her Faith Journey and was baptized into the Catholic Church.
Jessie was predeceased by her loving husband, Al; infant son, Ronald; beloved sister, Tressie (Mike) Adamshick; brothers, John (Helen) Zeleznik, and Charles (Mildred) Zell; and in-laws,
Ernestine and James Gugino, Louis Amato, and Peter Insana. Survived by sisters-in-law, Grace Amato and Mary Insana.
Jessie is also survived by her children, Sharon (Jim) Hackett, Daniel (Marianne) Amato and Rebecca Amato, all of Orlando, FL, and Deacon Albert (Deborah) Amato of Niagara Falls;
also six grandchildren, Jackie (Mike) Candelaria, Joanna (Chris) Ashley, Alexan Amato, Esq., Karine Amato, Daniel Amato Jr., and Joseph Amato; and three great-grandchildren, James Robbins, Michael Candelaria, and Jack Candelaria.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Friday, January 5th, assisted by her son, Deacon Albert Amato. Burial at Dr. Phillips Cemetery, Orlando.
