James's Story

James J. Sivick, 67, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph and Demaris A. (Keirn) Sivick and attended local schools.
He entered the United States Navy on October 8, 1968 serving during Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was honorable discharged on October 16, 1970 as a FN. After serving his country, James worked as a Foreman for 30 years at SGL Carbon until his retirement. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Miller) Sivick; children, Tracey (James) Storey, James T. (Jill) Sivick and Joseph (Sandy) Sivick; grandchildren, Skylar, Lexi Storey and Lily Sivick; sisters, Lynn (Robert) Piechowski and Susan (Dean) Snyder.
NO PRIOR VISITATION. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC.
