Jaime Luis's Story
Jaime Luis Lopez, 90, of Yalaha, Florida, passed away on April 7, 2017 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida. Mr. Lopez was born on July 21, 1926 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to his mother, Carmen (Usera) Maduro.
Mr. Lopez was retired from Hooker Chemical Company where he worked as a foreman. He was of the Catholic faith and had served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Lopez moved to Yalaha eight years ago from Houston, Texas, but lived many years in Niagara Falls, New York, and was a member of the AMVETS.
He is survived by three sons, Paul Tucker Lopez of Houston, TX, Jaime Tucker Lopez of Houston, TX and Chris Lopez of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Peggy Lopez of Michigan; grandchildren, Christopher M. Lopez, Alyson M. Lopez and three others; along with his partner of seven years, Sylvia McCulloch.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Yalaha, Florida.
