Herbert O. 'Herb''s Story
Herbert Davis, age 65, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Hospital on September 23rd, 2017, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Herb was born in Niagara falls, NY on July 6th, 1952 to the late Herbert, Sr. and Helen (Banks) Davis.
Herb graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He retired from Niacet Corporation in 2009.
Herb enjoyed woodworking and camping. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his pride and joy, his grandson, Hunter. He also enjoyed the family annual camping trips to Jellystone Park. Both Herb and Hunter enjoyed it to the fullest.
Herb leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 43 years, Annette (Gibbons) Davis; daughter, Kelly (Peter) Brennan; son, David (Michelle) Davis. Best 'Bub' to his grandson, Hunter Davis; sister, Betty (Robert 'Jim') Ridgeway; mother-in-law, Caroline (late Richard) Gibbons; brother-in-law, Rick Gibbons; his grand-dog, Gus. Also survived by aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
As per Herb's wishes, there will be no prior visitation. Herb has donated his body to the U.B Anatomical Program in hopes to help others.
If desired, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or John Oishei Children's Hospital.
