Helen Jean (Stewart)'s Story

Helen Jean (Stewart) Wolfgang, formerly of Youngstown, passed from this earthly life on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility, Lewiston.
Helen was born in Dubois, PA, on January 7, 1932, a daughter of the late John R. and Jane (Harvey) Stewart. She was a 1949 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and married Charles R. 'Chub' Wolfgang on April 4, 1953.
Helen served as church secretary from 1974-1999 at St. James United Methodist Church and was active on many church committees. She was a member and Beloved Queen of the former Niagara River Triangle, and member of the former Flagler Chapter #355 Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Pamela (Paul) Stivers of Lewiston, John (Janice) Wolfgang of Niagara Falls, and Cindy (late Jack) Stewart of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her sister, Evelyn (late Jerry) Belden.
Family will be present on Thursday from 3-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where services will be held Thursday evening at 7 PM. Private burial will be held in North Ridge Cemetery.
