Gordon 'Gordy' K. Wallace, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed peacefully on January 29th due to pneumonia and heart complications. He was surrounded by his family at Niagara County Hospice House. He was born on September 16, 1929 in Whitby, Ontario. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Witwicki.
Gordy graduated from Oshawa General High School and entered the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers apprenticeship program in Canada, later moving to the United States. He was a proud member of IBEW Local #237 for 64 years, member of F.& A.M. Niagara Lasalle Lodge #132 since 1960 and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Blanch; daughter, Donna Wallace of St. Paul, MN; and Conrad Vout of Canada; nephew, Rusty (Marlene) Shavalier; great-niece, Ashley of Canada; brother-in-law, Douglas (Shirley) Vout of Canada; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Marion (Donald) Self.
