Frank A.'s Story
Frank A. Rotella, of Niagara Falls, died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at home. He was 33. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York, on January 28, 1984, the son of Richard A. and Donna (Cole) Rotella of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools including the former St. John de LaSalle grammar school.
Frank was employed by Gross Plumbing and Heating for several years and most recently for the Niagara Falls Water Board as an outside maintenance worker. As a young man, Frank was an amateur boxer and fought in the Golden Gloves. He was a family man and an avid movie and music enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Joanna (Angelo) Rotella; three children, Frank A. Jr., Adriana and Richard Rotella, all of Niagara Falls; siblings, Nikki Palazzo and Christiane (Salih Young) Rotella, both of Niagara Falls; his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Richard W. (Colleen) Rotella of Conway, SC; his maternal grandmother, Margaret (late Donald) Cole of Niagara Falls; four nieces, Angelina, Juliana, Isabella and Giana; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Floretta Rotella.
There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle RC Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
