The family of Frances Marie (Licastro) Snyder sadly announces her passing on July 19, 2017 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Frances was born in Canada on September 2, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Angeline (Cirrito) Licastro. Frances is survived by her children Mark and Cathy, her loving brother Mario/Ginger (Lorraine) Licastro, her sister Grace (late Michael) Greenwalt, her sister-in-law Barbra (late Joseph). Frances is also survived by her nieces and nephews Michael (Lisa) Licastro, Valerie (Joseph) Rosati, Jeffrey (Laura) Licastro, Anthony (Marybeth) Licastro, Paul (Molly) Licastro, Paul Hurtt and Robert Hurtt. Frances was predeceased by her sister Kay Stancomb, and her dear nephew Richard Hurtt.
Frances is also survived by her devoted sister-in-law Helen DelSignore and her nieces: Johanna DelSignore Bolender, Mary DelSignore, and Kathleen (Nhon) DelSignore Secor. Very special friend to Frances were Brad and Rosanne Patterson, Maria DelSignore, Sue Ffarley, Joe and JoAnne Mang and Bill and Mary Jane Cosgrove. There are countless others, neighbors and friends, who simply called her Aunt Frances and quickly became her family and were soon to enjoy her countless ricotta cookies and apple pies which she loved to bake.
Frances greatest joys were baking and caring for others. She had to be sure her family especially Mark and Ginger, were doing well and she daily showed love to all who knew her. She will be missed beyond measure and will always be remembered with a smile.
The family of Frances offers a heart-felt thank you to the office girls at Historical Square Apartments and the staff at Millard Fillmore Suburban for the loving care provided for her. Physicians Assistant Danielle, nurses Coleen and Helen, and Medical Assistants Devon and Marilyn provided her with tender loving care, treating her as if she were the most beautiful, delicate and gentile flower in the garden- and she was.
Special thanks goes to the DelSignore, DeMunda and Tavano families for simply loving Frances. A very special thank you to Michael and April DelSignore for always helping to ensure Frances was never alone in her final days.
The Licastro and DelSignore families will forever be connected by their love and remembrance for Frances.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Random Acts of kindness are needed and welcomed. The family will be present Saturday from 9:30-11:30 at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Ave. Where prayers will be offered at 11:30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church at 12:00 PM.
