Frances Rohr, a longtime resident of Youngstown, passed away peacefully at the Schoellkopf Health Center on March 9, 2018. She was 100. Born on February 18, 1918, in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Millie (Nottingham) Homer. Her husband, Maynard Rohr, predeceased her on March 3, 1976.
Mrs. Rohr graduated from Batavia High School and later went back to school, earning a teaching degree in elementary education from Buffalo State College. She worked for the Lewiston Porter School District as a 5th grade teacher for 20 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Gallagher; and a son, Christopher (Carol) Rohr. She is also survived by two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
