Florence White (Ventrilla), passed on to Heaven on the 12th of April, 2017. Florence was born in Niagara Falls, NY on the 14th of November, 1922. She was the daughter of Angelo and Nancy and was the eldest of their five children, Virginia (Marco) Caira, Samuel, Angelo and Mary (Dennis) Universal.
Florence worked at Memorial Hospital when she met her husband, Warren White, a short time before he left for WWII. They married and Florence went to work at a factory to support the war effort. After the war ended, Florence and Warren had four sons, Kenneth, Sr. (Annette), Charles, Franklin (Sue), and Joseph (Dawn); six grandchildren, Kenneth, Jr. (Faith), David, Wendy (John) Magaddino, Alison (Gregory) Spagnolo, Michael and Dina; and ten great-grandchildren, Morgan, Victoria, Mackenzie, Carlo, Ava, Alainna, Giuseppe, Jake, Julianna and Gweneth.
Florence enjoyed attending church and bingo at St. Leo's on Military Road where she was a member of the parish. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a very giving and loving person to all she met. She would always share and offer anything she had to someone else, should they need it. Florence loved cooking Italian food for family and friends from her home which she resided in for 68 years in the Town of Niagara. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and crossword puzzles. Florence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
