Eugene "Gene" Ellis

Eugene Gene Ellis Eugene Ellis, or better known as Gene, was born in Louisburg, North Carolina, on November 12, 1934. He is the eldest son of James Ellis and Alice Moore Ellis.
Gene attended Trott Vocational High School where he played baseball, basketball and served as class President in 1954.
Eugene married Dorothy Jean Johnson on May 25, 1957 at the New Hope Baptist Church. His wife Dorothy predeceased him February 2, 2017.
Gene worked at Union Carbide until it closed. He then went to work for Goodyear Tire plant until he retired. Gene also spent 12 years working at the Wegman's on Military Road after retirement.
Gene was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, an avid Yankee fan, and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Brian (Diane) Ellis, Regina Ellis Livingston; and his grandchildren, Nia Livingston, Simone (Joseph) Warrick-Bell, and Dorian Ellis.
Services will be held Friday, January 11 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1122 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. Family visitation starts at 11:00 AM and the service begins at Noon.

Rest in Heaven Geno' I always called him that at work , I worked with Geno at Union Carbide during the 70's once he told go ahead bid on the job I didn't have much time (3) yrs so I'd bid an was successful bidder I was the youngest inspector , I miss his wisdom an he was an encourager GOD BLESS the family

My father was a great and wonderful man. I am a better person because he was my father. I loved him more than life. I will miss him everyday.
