Essie's Story

Essie L. (Maye) Parmer, 76, of Niagara Falls, passed away on October 1, 2017 in Buffalo, NY. Born on May 8,1941, she was the daughter of the late Fannie Maye (Ridgeway) and Lewis Maye.
Essie relocated to Niagara Falls in the early 50's and had former employment with Niagara Cerebral Palsy.
She was a longtime, faithful member of the Trinity Baptist Church, and enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbert Parmer, Jr. (1967). Surviving are children, Wayne (Tammy) Parmer, Sharon, Vanessa, and Robert Parmer, Eric (Ruby) Parmer and Lester Joseph; two children, Rodney and Regina Parmer predeceased her.
Also surviving are siblings, Bunesby (late Lonnie, Sr.) Ridgeway, Melvie Saunders, Pearlie (late Charlie) Feagin, Evon Owens, Shirley Mathews, Annie Mathews, Jacqueline Mathews, Johnnie Lee (Annie) Mathews and Isiah Mathews. Predeceased siblings, Queen (L.Z) Burnett, Eddie Joe, Willie and Eugene Mathews; also surviving are a host of grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation on Fridayat 11 AM in the Trinity Baptist Church, 1366 South Ave. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial Oakwood. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
