Clair E. 'Butch''s Story
Clair E. 'Butch' Brownell, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on January 7, 2018 at Northgate Health Care Facility in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Waterville, NY, he was the son of the late Charles Brownell and Josephine (Ferrucci) Brownell-Patti, and step-son of the late James Patti.
Butch, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, moved to the Niagara Falls area with his family in 1947 and attended local schools. He was employed as a laborer with Laborer's Local #91 in Niagara Falls, NY until his retirement. Butch was a passionate New York Yankee fan.
Mr. Brownell was predeceased by his wife, Louise M. (Shakarjian) Brownell in 1976 and his later wife, Juanita (Wright) Brownell in 2002. He is survived by his three children, Samuel Brownell, Lisa (Randy) Herkimer, Charles Brownell; step-daughter, Jillian Wright; as well as two grandsons, Michael Herkimer and David Herkimer.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 AM on Friday, January 12th at Oakwood Cemetery, 763 Portage Road Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY.
