Carmosina M. Carlo, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Elderwood Healthcare at Wheatfield. She was born on May 31, 1923 in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Frank and Rose (Caraccio) Carlo.
A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Carmosina was a graduate of St. Joseph School, Niagara Falls High School and Kelly Business School. She was employed at Carborundum Bonded Abrasive Division for 39 years retiring in 1983. Carm was a devout parishioner of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity, Madonna Del Carmine Society, Madonna Del Perpetuo Socorso Society and St. Joseph Senior Society. She was also a member and former Officer, Trustee and Past Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Niagara #662. An active volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, she was a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine and a member of the first Saturday Club.
Carmosina was the dear sister of the late Samuel (Elaine), Anthony (Norma) and Carmen (Stella) Carlo; aunt of Nancy Richards, Ruth (Robert) Kostyrka, Robert (Terri) Carlo, Barbara (Gerald) Marks, Rose (Douglas) Hobbs and Caroline (Douglas) Rogers.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 4-7 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church on Saturday at 10 AM. Family and friends invited.
