Carmella A.'s Story
Carmella A. Maselli, 74, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sophie Benn.
She attended schools in Wilkes Barre, PA and graduated from GAR High School. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1965. She married her loving husband and soulmate, Benny V. Maselli, on June 11, 1966. She worked at Occidental Chemical as an Administrative Assistant to the Safety and Health Department, where she retired from. She also drove school bus for Ransomville Schools.
Carmella was a loving mother and grandmother. Being with her family brought her the most joy. She loved to cook and entertain. She loved to travel. She liked playing cards and going to the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Maselli; daughter, Pamela; son, Thomas; her grandchildren, Mark Fose, John Fose, and Nicholas Lolley, all of Ransomville, NY; one great-grandaughter, Olivia Lolley; one brother-in-law, Louis Maselli; and one sister-in-law, Jean Maselli. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas, Helen, and Leonard Benn.
She provided the gift of life by donating her body to the University of Buffalo Life Sciences. At the family's request, there will be no visitation and a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
