Calvin's Story

Calvin M. Krysa, of Wilson, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Born on May 10, 1955 in North Tonawanda, NY. He was the son of Carl M. Krysa and Kathryn Krysa-Oakes.
Calvin attended Niagara-Wheatfield High School. As a young man he followed in his father's footsteps and developed a love for auto mechanics. Cal was a skilled auto mechanic for 45 years and successfully ran his own auto repair business. There was nothing he couldn't fix. Over the span of his career, he also trained others in the field of auto mechanics.
Calvin had a large circle of friends. One of his biggest joys in life was spending time with them. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles, classic cars, watching Nascar races, and his beloved Rottweiler, Harley.
Kathryn Oakes, Calvin's mother, held a very special place in his heart. His pride and joy was his daughter, Carleen Krysa-Wills (Dan). The title that held the most honor in Calvin's life was "Dad." He is also survived by one grandson, Daniel J. Wills, and one brother, Shawn Krysa (Karen). He is also survived by many cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Carl M. Krysa and his brother, Russel E. Krysa.
Family will be present at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Michael A. Keicher, at 10:00 AM Monday, March 12th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Niagara County SPCA.
