Ann  Kroah

Ann Kroah, 98, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Absolut At Gasport. Born in Commodore, PA, on December 12, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hvozda) Sturak and attended schools there.
Ann moved to Niagara Falls, NY in 1945 and began working. She worked at the Carborundum Corporation for a few years. She then worked at Kimberly Clark for about eight years, until leaving to go work at Nabisco Shredded Wheat. She worked at Nabisco for 15 years until her retirement from there. Ann belonged to St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church here in Niagara Falls.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Donald) Belkota; grandchildren, Donald Belkota and Kevin (Becky) Belkota; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Faithe, Dylan, Jack, Taylor, Ella and Mia; sister, Margaret Fedak and brother, Joseph Sturak. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Kroah; brothers, John Sturak, Mike Sturak, Charles Sturak, George Sturak and Stephen Sturak; sisters, Dorothy Sturak, Irene Sturak, Susan Lachut, Mae Sturak and Helen Tyno.
Friends may call Sunday, August 25th from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319-24th Street, corner of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where Panachyda services will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, August 26th at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2715 Ferry Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Father Mykola Drofych officiating. Burial following in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

Ann was a friend of many years when I met her at Moore and and again
at Carbo. Our families knew each other from Penna. Was a visitor at
our home when I lived in Niagara. Someone you never forget.

It was a great pleasure taking care of Ann. Sweet and feisty, I loved every moment. She left her mark on my heart, and will be greatly missed.

Barbara, i remember all the good times we had growing up on 26th st, and your Mom was always so nice. My family loved visiting with her. Im so sorry for your loss. God bless.
