Alice's Story

Alice (Bucior) Schmidt, 82, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on August 14th. Born on July 29, 1935, in Niagara Falls, NY, she attended local schools and lived and worked in Niagara Falls.
Known for her spunky wit, she was a homemaker and an avid fan of Elvis. After retiring from Howard Johnson's, she enjoyed going to bingo, spending time with friends and family, and taking care of her dogs.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Schmidt, Diane Lauzau, Darlene Gualano, Carol O'Shea, Karen Komoroski, Kenny Schmidt, Jack Kepp and Ed Kepp; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by Marvin Schmidt.
The family would also like to extend the sincerest gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care as well as ECMC for their exceptional care.
Friends may call on Friday, August 18th from 6-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319-24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 8:00 PM with Sister Judith Terrameo officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or The Humane Society.
